Reefscope Underwater Camera Systems Warranty Statement

This warranty statement applies to Reefscope Underwater Camera Systems supplied and sold internationally by Reefscope. Customers who have purchased through an authorized dealer should consult their dealer for warranty details.

  1. Warranty Period:

Reefscope LLC provides a manufacturer's warranty of 1 year on all Reefscope camera products from the date of sale.

  1. Warranty Claim Process:

To make a warranty claim, customers must contact an authorized Reefscope dealer, complete troubleshooting, and provide the following information:

  • Customer name
  • Current location of the vessel or products
  • Detailed description of the failure with photographic evidence
  • Details of conducted tests
  • Proof of purchase from Reefscope and onward sales

Troubleshooting guidelines are available in product manuals on the Reefscope website. Claims may be rejected if guidelines are not followed, information is incomplete, the warranty period has passed, the product is not returned within 45 days of authorization, or evidence suggests improper installation, maintenance, or use.

  1. Exclusions from Warranty:
Corrosion: Please note that all metal parts can corrode from prolonged use in salt water. The primary factors affecting corrosion are not directly related to our products and accordingly Reefscope cannot be held responsible for corrosion-related defects. Please note that corrosion will be particularly aggressive if installation and/or bonding have not been undertaken properly or if stray currents are active in the vicinity of a boat. In neither case will a warranty claim be accepted.

Reefscope is not responsible for corrosion-related defects in metal parts exposed to saltwater. Changes to product design without notice are not guaranteed under the warranty.

  1. Warranty Validation and Replacement:

Valid warranty claims processed through authorized dealers or Reefscope may result in repair, replacement, or refund. Products must be returned within 45 days for testing. Damaged, incomplete, or unidentifiable returns may void the warranty. Replacement parts may be invoiced initially and refunded upon validation of the claim.

  1. Limitation of Liability:

Reefscope's liability is limited to the original purchase price. The company is not liable for indirect costs, labor expenses, or consequential damages. The warranty excludes events beyond the company's control.

  1. Making a Claim:

Claimants must notify an authorized dealer or Reefscope LLC within 7 days of discovering a problem. Troubleshooting must be conducted, and claims should be supported by required information. Installation issues should be addressed with the original dealer.
